The Future Leaders council has organised the Great Bassaleg Bake Off, a competition where all year groups are able to design their own cupcake. The winning designs from each year group will be made by Aramak, our catering company, and sold in the restaurant for our pupils to enjoy.
Excitingly, the Future Leaders council interviewed the artist from the Great British Bake Off and former Bassaleg pupil Tom Hovey! He spoke to the Future Leaders about how he developed a passion for illustration and gave advice for those wanting to follow the same pathway as him. His story inspired the Future leaders to organise this competition and give artists and fans of the Bake Off a chance to showcase their skills. He wishes everyone the best of luck for the competition.
The Future Leaders council are looking for original, creative, and tasty designs which follow the theme of “Spring”. They can be digital or hand drawn. Ideally your cupcake design should also list the ingredients and measurements if possible. We kindly ask that students refrain from using nuts in the recipe. You can enter individually or in a group of up to 3, but you can only enter once, so get brainstorming!
In order to enter either drop your design off at B2.21 or upload it on the Great Bassaleg Bake off google classroom. Make sure your name is clear. The deadline for designs is Friday 4th April.
Good luck to all entering, we can’t wait to see the amazing designs you will all produce!
